The Passenger Locator Form, is an online form, which must be completed before your travel. This online formular helps in the contact tracing. The Passenger Locator Form does not replace an Evisa and must be completed separately from the Evisa.

Travelling to New Zealand

All passengers coming to New Zealand by air, MUST fill and submit a New Zealand Travel Declaration Form. This includes New Zealand citizens and residents and even transit passengers. Children and infants are also required to submit their application.

Passengers can start their declaration 28 days prior to their flight. The New Zealand Traveller Declaration form must be completed in order to issue a Traveller Pass to board any flight New Zealand.

A negative COVID-19 pre-departure test must also be provided when submitting the declaration, unless the passenger is exempt.

Non-New Zealand citizens must meet the COVID-19 vaccine requirement in order to enter the country.

Travellers are required to provide:

  • Flight information
  • Passport details
  • Proof of vaccination
  • Proof of a negative pre-departure test
  • Contact details in New Zealand
  • Emergency contact details
  • Travel history for 14 days prior to arriving in New Zealand

You will receive your New Zealand Traveller Pass via email, provided you submit all the required information and documents and also after the approval of your application by the New Zealand Government.

Passengers are requested to present their New Zealand Traveller Pass when they check-in at the airport and to the customs officers when they arrive in New Zealand. The pass can be printed or saved on a mobile phone.

Please make sure you provide accurate information on the application form. If the information provided is misleading or false, you may be required to provide further evidence so that you meet the relevant New Zealand Government COVID-19 requirements. Should there be no proper evidence provided, you may be refused for boarding or subject to penalties such as fines and prosecutions.
